Vape4Me
A 3D film that turns a vending machine into a storefront.
Vape4Me wanted their machine to stop people mid-corridor. So instead of explaining the product, I gave it presence.
Vape4Me needed their vending machine to stop people mid-corridor. The brief wasn’t to explain the product — it was to make a functional box impossible to walk past, with the on-screen content doing the selling.
A vending machine is, visually, a lit rectangle — not much to build a film around. The challenge was turning inventory and a flat screen into something with scale and motion, and making 200 individual packs feel like variety rather than clutter.
· Treated the screen as a storefront — product and smoke art-directed into something closer to a brand film than a menu.
· Rendered 200 packs as a spinning vortex, turning raw inventory into a visual argument for choice.
· Used neon — deep purple and magenta — as a brand language that reads from across a corridor.
· Built scale and motion so the machine has presence before anyone reads a word.
· Cinema 4D + Redshift for render, After Effects for comp and grade.
An in-screen loop plus a hero film for the launch · 16:9 and portrait screen format · a ~25-second cut · delivered solo, from concept to final grade.
